Gloria Gustafson creates some of the most tranquil
and pleasing art in the area. One need not look far to discover
the inspiration behind her work. With crashing waves, soft sand
and fine architecture surrounding her, Gloria has an endless supply
of subject material. Working in watercolors and oils, Gloria uses
her knowledge of the region to create pieces depicting the Cape
Neddick Light, also known as "Nubble Light", flowers and
fishing boats. From the array of colors highlighting shimmering
water to the many reds, yellows and oranges arranged to announce
a seasonal Fall scene, Gloria's work epitomizes the character and
serenity of Maine coastal living.
Gloria shows her work in many shows scattered throughout
New England From May-October. She also exhibits in all of the New
England states except Vermont. But her permanent shows are at the
following exclusive galleries:
- Argosy Gallery - Bar Harbor, Maine
- Skyline Gallery - Houston, Texas
- The Village Gallery - York, Maine.
- Seacoast Gallery, Portsmouth, NH;
- New England Craftsmen Gallery, Wolfeboro, NH;
- Bowersock Gallery, Provincetown, MA.
